Abstract

1395607 Carbonated beverages SEITZWERKE GmbH 29 June 1972 [30 June 1971] 30488/72 Heading B1C A liquid jet (e.g., hot or cold water) is injected into an aerated beverage (e.g. beer) in a bottle to form foam in the space above the beverage, and a jet of inert gas is then directed into the foam to remove therefrom large bubbles containing air. The liquid and gas injections may take place as the bottles are conveyed from a filling machine (10, Fig 1, not shown), to a capping machine (11), the injecting nozzles (18, 25) being mounted by a swivel joint (20) so that they can be adjustable separated by a distance gate or sleeve bottle spacings.
