Abstract

1395312 Thermal switches INTER CONTROL HERMANN KOHLER ELEKTRIK GmbH & CO KG 24 April 1972 [22 April 1971 12 June 1971] 18850/72 Heading H1N A thermal switch can be connected between operation as a thermostat and as a thermal cutout by moving a plate 61. In the thermostat position, screw 63 engages a stop-pin 32 the upper end of which engages the end of the spring arm carrying moving contact 2 to prevent it opening more than a certain distance. In the thermal cut-out position, plate 61 is rotated so that screw 63 is moved away from pin 32 which is urged downwardly by spring 33 so that the lower end of pin 32 projects through an opening in plate 61 so that the upper end of pin 32 is lower and contact 2 is opened farther so that it is not snapped back to engage fixed contact 1 by snap-spring 64 when temperature sensing capsule 16 retracts.
