Abstract

1395250 Monitoring cable tension SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 9 Nov 1972 [6 April 1972] 51744/72 Heading G1W A winch 11 for winching a cable 14 is provided with a lever 16, 17, 18 loaded by a spring 27 and engaging the cable adjacent the cable outlet 15 for sensing the cable tension, the lever having an extension 23 which operates a switch 25 at a particular lever deflection. The winch may be driven by a D.C. motor 13 and the cable may be attached to a car safety belt for applying the safety belt to an occupant of the car. The switch 25 may be arranged such that motor 13 is switched off when the cable 14 becomes slack, or that an alarm is given. The movement of the lever is limited by stops 28, 29.
