Abstract

1394930 Pneumatic conveyers for bulk material FREE-FLOW PACKAGING CORP 19 June 1973 29047/73 Heading B8A Lightweight subdivided material is delivered to a preselected gas dissipating distribution outlet on actuation of gas diverting flap means mounted within a substantially closed conduit of a conveying system and adjacent the respective outlet. The flap means are operated by lever means, movement of which also actuates means to initiate controlled operation of a blower to provide conveying gas to carry the material from a storage hopper to the respective outlet in Fig. 1, material from hopper 14 is drawn into pipeline 26 at venturi 24 by air from fan 20, which is operated when an operator at one of the distribution outlets 28 pulls the respective card 32 signifying a demand for material. Fig. 3 shows the position of flap 40 when moved by lever 48 actuated by cord 32, providing a gas flow path into the respective outlet. Gravitytype switch-means 64, 66 control the operation of blower 20.
