Abstract

1394494 Trestles GEORG FRITZMEIER KG 13 April 1973 [14 April 1972] 17941/73 Heading A4H A trestle stand, Fig. 1, comprises legs pivoted intermediate their ends at 1, the upper arms 2 so formed pivotally mounting at 18 clamping jaws 17, and the lower arms 3 so formed being connected by pivoted links 9, 11, the total length of the links 9, 11 being adjustable to alter the distance between the clamping jaws 17 by a peg 13 engaged in selected aligned bores 14 in the links 9, 7. In a modification, Figs. 5-7 (not shown), the total length of the links (41, 42) is adjustable by a pin (46) on one link (42) engaging in a selected notch (45) in the other link (41), and a spring-loaded peg (48) on the other link (41) engaging in a selected hole (50) in the one link (42). In another form, Fig. 3, the legs 20 are joined intermediate their ends by U-bands 35 rigid with the legs 20 and connected together at an adjustable distance by a peg 37 engaging in selected aligned bores 36. The lower arms are connected by pivoted links 29, 31 whose effective length is adjustable by altering the angle between said links.
