Abstract

1394014 Transferring warp beams FONDERIES ET ATELIERS MICHEL VANDEWIELE SA 30 April 1973 [31 Oct 1972] 20342/73 Heading D1E A loom comprises a movable carriage 9 which supports the warp beam 6 during transit, and during weaving acts as part of the loom frame, with one end of the warp beam shaft 7 supported in a bearing 8 in the carriage, and the other end supported in a hub 30 of a wheel 3 on the loom forming part of the loom let off drive. During transit the said other end is also supported on the carriage 9 in a member 14 which is raisable by a manual handle 19 to allow the warp beam shaft 7, to be dropped into a closable groove 31 in hub 30. Locating pins 27 for the carriage may be provided on, the loom frame, and the rear wheels of the carriage may be raised from the ground by a screw Jack 25, provided on each plate 10, to render the carriage immobile.
