Abstract

1393371 Upland-over doors ARGOSY ENG LTD 12 Oct 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 59945/71 Heading E2M An up and over door comprises a generally planar door panel 1 suspended from a door frame by means of four arms A, B, the arms being disposed in pairs, one pair on each side of the door panel and each arm being pivotally connected both to the door and door frame, and at least one pair of torsion bars G, one end H of each bar 'being anchored to one side of the door panel and the other end K, passing through a pivot mounting J on the opposite side of the door panel and being connected to a roller L positioned in contact with the arm A. Each torsion bar may take the form of a rod doubled back on itself, Figure 4 (not shown).
