Abstract
139,319. Allsebrook, G. March 17, 1919. Wave energy, utilizing.-Water is pumped from the sea into a reservoir by vertical pumps mounted on a vessel rocked by the waves, the pumps being operated by a cable passing from a mooring-weight, over a fixed pulley on the vessel, and under a pulley on the pump rod to a fixed point on the vessel or to another mooring-weight. A vessel A carries pumps B open at their lower ends to the sea, and having piston-rods C carrying pulleys D. A cable E passes from a mooring F, over pulleys G, under the pulleys D, and back to the second mooring F. As the vessel A is rocked by the waves, water is pumped into a vessel J, whence it passes by pipe K, M, N to a reservoir ashore.
