Abstract

1392903 Coats G J VANDIEMEN 25 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 3939/73 Heading A3V A jacket is provided with at least two breast pockets 3, 5 overlapping each other, the pocket 3 being disposed inside the jacket and the opening 4 of the pocket 5 being disposed on the outside of the front of the jacket approximately at underarm level, the pocket 5 extending obliquely downwards to the zone underneath the sleeve. The arrangement above avoids bulging of the jacket when for example a wallet 7 is carried in the pocket 3 and glasses 8 in the pocket 5. A seam 9' may be provided in the pocket 5 to form an additional narrow pocket 10 e.g. for a pen. The pockets 3, 5 may be formed during manufacture of the jacket or may be provided as a separately manufactured combination for placement in an existing jacket.
