Abstract

1392792 Test tube assembly O A SUOVANIEMI 30 Jan 1973 [10 Feb 1972] 26958/74 Divided out of 1392791 Heading G1B [Also in Division B1] A test tube element for use with a multiple pipette is provided with a plurality of test tubes in two or more parallel rows either fixed in, loosely supported in or formed integral with a supporting plate with the test tubes parallel to one another and with their mouths in one plane, and arranged relative to one another as appropriate for the simultaneous insertion of pipettes of a multiple pipette with which it is to be used, a separable lid upon said supporting plate having a plurality of plugs projecting therefrom which, when the lid is upon the supporting plate tightly close all of the tubes of the test tube element. One edge of the element may be provided with a notch or mark recognisable visually electronically or mechanically to identify the element. The element is suitable for use with the multiple pipette of Specification 1392791.
