Abstract

1391809 Clamps BOWTHORPE CORP 23 Oct 1972 [23 Oct 1971] 48823/72 Heading E2B A device of plastics material and for supporting and retaining pipes cables &c against a surface comprises an elongated base 2 having integral therewith a deformable clamp element 5 extending from a rigid foot 6 having the profile of an arc of a circle and which is provided outwardly with a series of teeth 8 adapted to engage a corresponding series of teeth 8a carried by a stiff finger 9 at the end of the element 5. A counter element 10 is disposed adjacent the series of teeth 8 to define a recess 11 adapted, in use of the deice, to prevent displacement of the finger 9 radially of the foot 6, the finger being disengageable from the teeth of the foot by lateral movement of the finger. As shown, the base is provided with a hook 12 which is engageable with a cross-bar 14 of an adjacent device when two such devices are used as shown in Fig. 5 or when disposed at right angles one to the other.
