Abstract

1,032,667. Clamps. MINISTER OF AVIATION. Nov. 11, 1964 [Nov. 11, 1963], No. 44406/63. Heading E2B. A wire spacer comprises a body member with a plurality of hooks each of which is distortable by a member sliding on the body member to clamp a wire. The body member, in the form of a tube 1 of oval cross section and with an internal transverse strengthening web, 1a has hooks 2 either fixed to or integral with the tube 1 which supports sleeves 3 which slidably engage the hooks to clamp the wires. The hook 2 has a groove 5 in the base wall for locating the wire and a transverse projection 6 to abut the sliding sleeve 3 and retain it in clamping position. The spacer may be made of polypropylene, The hook may pivot on the tube 1.
