Abstract

1445047 Cable clamp DANFOSS AS 10 July 1974 [11 July 1973] 30568/74 Heading E2B A clamp for supporting a cable 4 or the like comprises (a) a body 1 having arms 12a, b the free ends of which define an entry slot 7 communicating with an opening 2 defined by the arms, one arm 12a being carried on a hinge part 11 so that it may be displaced angularly relative to the other arm 12b to widen the entry slot and (b) a rigid base member 19 abutting the body at positions on one side only of the opening on and remote from the hinged arm respectively so as to straddle hinge part 11 and being detachably secured to body 1, preventing displacement of hinged arm 12a. As shown, body 1 has two such openings 2, 3, and is secured to the base member by means of a foot 15 with grooves 14 to engage a slot (21, Fig. 3 not shown) in base member (10) and projections 16 to engage recesses (24) therein. The cable 4 is further retained by a screw 6. In an alternative embodiment, entry slots (25, Fig. 4, not shown) are located on that side of the clamp body (26) opposite the hinge part (11).
