Abstract

1390297 Valves ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 30 Jan 1973 [12 Feb 1972] 4607/73 Heading F2V A one-piece plastics moulded housing for a multi-way slide valve comprises a central cylindrical portion 27, carrying a bushing in which the valve member (not shown) slides, and lower and upper parallel wall members 29, 28 respectively. The valve is mounted on a base plate 14 through which the necessary fluid connections are made. The upper wall portion consists of two horizontal portions 36, 37. Reinforcing ribs 38 join the upper and lower wall portions and longitudinal flanges 39 are connected to the centre portion 27 and to the ribs 38. The lower wall portion is stiffened by a plurality of ribs 43 which run axially and radially. 0-ring seals (not shown) are provided in the bushing at the fluid connections. A groove 41 in the lower wall 29 may be connected to a feed duct 21 or ducts (42), Fig. 2 (not shown), which open into the end faces 15, 16 of the housing. To the end 15 a closure member 18 is fitted and to the end 16 a pilot valve 19. The plastics material may have glass fibre reinforcement.
