Abstract

1390116 Ambulance trolleys DORMOBILE Ltd 10 Aug 1973 [18 Aug 1972] 38697/72 Heading B7B [Also in Division A4] An ambulance trolley comprising a wheeled frame 10 supporting a stretcher 100 constituted by foot, seat and head sections 11, 12, 13 pivotally interconnected at 14, 15, including a first actuator 16 between the frame and foot section for moving both the seat and foot sections about pivot 15, a second actuator 18 between the frame and foot section for moving only the foot section about pivot 14 and a third actuator 18A for moving only the head section about pivot 15 connected between the face and the head section. The stretcher is supported in its normal horizontal position by stops 40 which contact the head and foot sections, and collapsable guard rails 23 may be provided at each side of the stretcher. Actuator 16 may be a screw jack operable by a handle 17, whereas actuators 18, 18A are constituted by pairs of gas jackets. The trolley may be provided with extendable handles 25, and in one embodiment (Fig. 5, not shown) the section may be lowered from the horizontal.
