1388550 Automatic control of speed D H G REDMAN 9 Nov 1972 [9 Nov 1971] 51857/71 Heading G3R A servo amplifier, whose gain is determined by a potentiometer 2, input resistor 3 and feedback resistor 4, comprises an integrated circuit linear amplifier 6 feeding a phase-splitting transformer 7 which provides signals for a push-pull output amplifier 10, 14, 11, 15 supplying power to a centre-tapped motor winding 16a, 16b turned by a capacitor 17. A signal is fed back from a tacho winding 16e to amplifier 6 to control the speed of the motor. The input-signal is A.C. and represents desired speed.
