Abstract

1388367 Electrolysis A P PEDRICK 25 June 1974 35029/73 Heading C7B In a plant for extracting hydrogen from water by electrolysis, the oxygen produced as a byproduct is used as a means for burning matter which is not readily combustible in air, e.g. garbage. The heat thus produced drives a turbine 16 which in turn drives an electric generator 17. The output of the latter provides at least part of the electricity supply for the electrolysis.
