Abstract

1388209 Knitting-machines H STOLL G STOLL E STOLL E STOLL J STOLL A STOLL R E STOLL and M STOLL 14 Dec 1972 [30 Dec 1971] 57868/72 Heading D1C [Also in Division H1] Apparatus for controlling parts in a flat machine e.g. cam parts, thread guide reversals, comprises a series of abutment pins 6 the lower ends 8 of which can be urged by a cam slide 5 against a holding magnet 18, from which selected ones are released. The pins are mounted and urged upwards by springs 12 in blocks 1 and 2 carried by a rail 13, and strike slides 22. Transverse pins 7 are in communication with cam cut-outs 16 of a common slide 5. If the slide 5 is moved to the left pins 7 are forced into grooves 14 while the lower ends engage the magnet 18. Selected pins 6 are released by energisation of coils in the magnet arrangement, so that pins 6 are forced upwards by the springs. The slide is then withdrawn so that projections 17 cover the pins 7 and guard against unintentional release.
