1387884 Non-aerated natural gas burners ADAPTOGAS Ltd 9 May 1973 [10 May 1972] 21709/72 Heading F4T An elongate non-aerated natural gas burner has a filter 4 extending substantially the full length of a manifold 2, the filter being located so that all of the gas flowing to main flame ports 9 and metering holes 11, both provided in the manifold 2, first passes through the filter, the holes in which are distributed to provide an even flow of gas through the manifold to ports 9 and holes 11, the filter 4 being produced from stainless steel foil in which the filtering holes have been formed by photo-etching, and the metering holes 11 leading to auxiliary flame ports. The auxiliary flame ports are defined between manifold 2 and flutes 12 in a channel member into which the sides of the manifold 2 are fitted. The filtering holes are smaller than the width of main flame slits 9 and metering holes 9 and the filter may have an unapertured area acting as a flow baffle.
