Abstract

1387841 Valves BLEASE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT Ltd 15 Feb 1972 6993/72 Heading F2V A valve for controlling gas exhaled by a patient and flowing from inlet 12 to outlet 14 comprises a resilient valve disc 42 attached to a shaft 46 which is slidable in sleeve 48 and is biased by spring 52 towards a seat 22. The seat is formed on a plunger 16 which is slidably adjustable in cylindrical housing 10 by the threaded connection with a shaft 28. Rotation of the shaft 28 by knurled knob 30 adjusts the seat relative to the valve member to adjust the pressure at which the valve closes.
