Abstract
1387647 Converting MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 17 Nov 1972 [18 Nov 1971 27 Nov 1971 8 Dec 1971 24 Jan 1972] 53265/72 Heading H2F [Also in Division H1] In a transformer/rectifier assembly for providing EHT for a cathode-ray tube, the primary winding 34 of the transformer is mounted on a core 13 adjacent the high voltage side of the EHT winding 12. An anciliary winding 22 may be included to provide a voltage for the focus electrode of the cathode-ray tube. The invention is stated to improve EHT regulation and to improve tracking between EHT and focus voltages. As shown in Fig. 13, the core 13 is in two parts and carries concentric bobbins supporting a two-part primary winding 34, 35, EHT winding 12 and focus voltage winding 22. A focus voltage diode 24 and EHT voltage-doubling rectifier (or diode 9) are included. In Figs. 10, 11 (not shown) winding 12 is supported by a stepped and tapered bobbin. In Fig. 9 (not shown) the transformer and diodes are immersed in oil in a common casing. Fig. 1 (not shown) relates to an otherwise conventional transistor line deflection and EHT circuit. A saturable reactor may be included on the D.C. side to stabilize the EHT voltage.
