Abstract

1387077 Plate and cup racks RUBBERMAID SALES CORP 30 Oct 1972 [3 July 1972] 49874/72 Heading A4A A foldable plate and cup rack comprises a central plate stand 10 having an elevated shelf 11 and four corner legs 12 and two side wings each having a base shelf 16 and a cup rack 17 projecting upwardly from an outer edge of the base shelf, the cup rack including cup hangers 30 extending angularly outwardly, the side wings each being hinged to the bottoms of two adjacent corner legs such that the side wings may be folded completely within and under the central plate stand Fig.1 (not shown). The elevated shelf 11 is recessed to provide shoulders 14 to retain plates supported thereon. Ribs 15 are provided on the underside of the elevated shelf for reinforcement. The base shelves are concavely curved and are provided with lateral ribs 23 for spacing the plates. Flanges 31 are provided for strengthening the hangers 30. As shown the hinge connections are provided by tongues 18 which project from the sides of the base shelves and have hinge pins 22 journalled in the corner legs.
