Abstract

1387075 Cements ASSOCIATED PORTLAND CEMENT MFRS Ltd 16 Aug 1973 [16 Aug 1972] 38202/72 Heading ClH An early strength cement comprises, in weight per cent, 7-90 G 2 A7, the majority of the balance being Ca silicates, preferably 10-70 of C 3 S. Ca phosphate can be included in the raw materials for the G 2 A 7 rich clinker which can be interground (with the aid of N(EtOH) 3 +HAc) with a portland cement, together with accelerators (K 2 SO 4 ), retarders (citric acid, lignosulphonates, sugars) to a surface area 225-600 m.<SP>2</SP>/kg. The cement can be used with higher than normal water/cement ratios which helps in pumping slurries and in bonding wet aggregates, e.g. coal waste or shale, ores and a sandmolasses mix.
