1387029 Duplicating apparatus L F FRITTELLI 1 June 1973 [12 June 1972] 27359/72 Heading B6C A spirit duplicating machine includes a spring-mounted sliding carriage 18 bearing a wetting roller 22 and a resiliently-mounted frame 46 bearing an impression roller 45. A copy sheet is placed on base plate 12 and a master card is placed on inclined plate 20. Rearward and downward movement of handle 49 causes the wetting roller 22 to pass over the copy sheet and the impression roller 45 to pass over the master card and copy sheet, so that the wet copy sheet receives an imprint. Preferably the wetting roller 22 is fed with methyl alcohol from a fixed reservoir 30 by means of a two-part neck, one part of which is mounted on the carriage 18 and one part of which dips into the methyl alcohol. The two parts are biased into contact by a spring 36, and a second spring 43 forces the moving part of the wick against the wetting roller.
