Abstract
1386789 Silver halide materials; diffusion transfer POLAROID CORP 22 Nov 1971 54196/71 Heading G2C A photo-sensitive article comprises silver halide crystals and, in electron-donating relationship with the crystals a sensitizing dye and an inorganic semiconductor capable of donating electrons to the crystals as a function of incident electromagnetic radiation. The dye is preferably an optical sensitizing cyanine dye and the semi-conductor is orthorhombic PbO, TeO 2 , Ge, AlSb, ZnSe, AlAs, GaAs, InAs, InP, GaP, GaSb, Sn, Si, Ge or SnS. The article is preferably a silver halide emulsion which may be the light; sensitive element for a silver-halide diffusion transfer process.
