Abstract

1386504 Containers ALKOR-OERLIKON PLASTIC GmbH and CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 14 Sept 1972 [16 Sept 1971] 42725/72 Heading B8P A container 10 for flowable goods has an openable flap 20 in one end wall 16 and is lined with a flat synthetic plastics bag (32) so disposed within the container that a bag lappet 54, serving as an outlet pipe is formed adjacent the flap 20. The container is made of corrugated sheet metal and has openings 26 in its top co-operating with filling pipes (50) of the liner bag. The liner bag is fixed in the container by means of hooks (64) welded to the bag engaging rods (66) secured to the inner longitudinal container edges and clamping strips (72) clamping the bag lappets (58, 60) opposite the wall 16 against the container transverse edges. Alternatively, the upper bag lappets (56, 60) may be secured on winding mandrels (57, 61). The outlet bag lappet 54 is passed beneath a cylindrical rod (78) and is supported between the flap 20 and a removable plate 80. In modifications, the removable plate 80 is replaced either by a plate (102) having at its base a cylindrical rod (104) and pivotable to be attachable to the container top, or by a pivoted plate (204) having a cylindrical rod (208) at its base and comprising two hingedly connected parts which are attachable to the inside of the container end wall 16. The container is emptied by removing the tip (98) of the bag lappet 54, supporting the bag lappet 54 on a plate (92, 111 or 211) and guiding it into a hopper (94) or attaching to it an outlet pipe (106 or 206) having a shut-off slider (112 or 212), and tilting the container by means of hydraulic lifting gear (86) of a tipping platform (82).
