Abstract

1386123 Making endless belts; stamping MIYAMOTO & CO Ltd 11 Feb 1972 6547/72 Headings B3A and B3Q Seamless, endless metal belts are made by deep drawing a metal sheet and removing the base and rim of the drawn blank to leave an endless belt. A die-set may be used which has a a circular or elongated cavity for producing belt-blanks of various shapes, Figs. 2-5 (not shown). Co-operating projections and recesses in the holddown (3) and die (1) facilitate control of the drawing operation. The heat treatment may be performed with the belt on a tension reel.
