Abstract

1383666 Agitating and aerating liquids MANOR ENG CO Ltd 14 June 1972 27773/72 Heading B1C A rotor blade for aerating sewage comprises a pair of wing portions 10, 11 each of which is arcuate in section at least near the blade tip and presents a convex surface towards the other wing portion. They may be separated by a slit 13 as shown, or joined, (see Figs. 1-8, not shown); the slit, where present, may be of venturi section. The wings may as shown broaden towards the tip, or narrow, (see Figs. 15 and 16, not shown) in which case the tips may be parallel or angled to each other. The wing sections may be mirror images as shown, or asymmetrical (see Figs. 7 and 8, not shown) when it is desired to deflect the flow of liquid.
