Abstract

1383270 Making locking sliders YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 10 Dec 1973 [14 Dec 1970] 57225/73 Heading B3A [Also in Division E2] The pull tab for a slider of a sliding clasp fastener is formed from a metal blank to produce an opening 18 at one end and swaged ear portions 24 at both sides at the other end which is stamped out to produce tongues 21, 22 having opposed trunnions 25, 26. The ear portions 24 are bent upwardly to form cores around which the extremities of the tongues 21, 22 are bent to form curled locking tongues 19, 20. The tongues 21, 22 may be spread apart to facilitate assembly of the pull tab to a slider.
