1382574 Pneumatic conveyer INDUSTRIAL FAN & HEATER CO Ltd 21 Feb 1972 [1 March 1971 22 Oct 1971] 5680/71 and 49305/71 Heading B8A A pneumatic conveyer for material comprises a hopper, a transfer tube near the bottom of the hopper and having a permanently open slot or aperture in the wall thereof, and means for creating a flow of air through the transfer tube. In the Figure, excess flux from a welding operation falls into hopper 10, which is provided near its lower end with a tube 12 having a slot in the bottom wall of the tube. Tube 16 is connected to the tubular portion 14 of the hopper into which tube 12 fits and is also connected to the suction side of a fan (not shown) to provide a flow of air to entrain the flux from the bottom of the hopper into tube 12 and along the tube to, for example, a container from which the flux is once again fed to an article to be welded.
