Abstract
1381983 Treating wastes E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 8 June 1972 [8 June 1971] 26830/72 Heading C1C In a bioxidation treatment of bacteria-containing aqueous domestic or industrial waste the bacterial oxygen requirements are met substantially wholly by the use of H 2 O 2 . In the process the H 2 O 2 inhibits the growth of filamentous bacteria. The process may be carried out at 0-50 C. The pH of the waste may be 5-9. The H 2 O 2 may be added to raw waste water, primary or activated sludge, a mixed liquor or supernatant from an aerobic or aerobic digesters.
