Abstract

1381641 Balanced bobbin GRETENER AG 12 July 1972 [19 July 1971] 32606/72 Heading B8M A bobbin tube 4 is balanced by means of weights 18 introduced into recesses provided in a coupling member 6 or a closure member 7. The bobbin comprises a cylindrical hollow body 4 with a spindle coupling member 6 at one end and a closure member at the other end. The coupling"member and/or the closure member are provided with peripherally distributed recesses 10, 15 which are closed externally by the hollow body and internally by a boss 11, 16 which may be fixed or displaceable. A centring member 5 is also provided. In balancing the bobbin, in the case of a fixed boss 11, 16, the members 6 and 7 are inserted into the body 4 to leave part of the recesses 10, 15 exposed. The relevant weights 18 are inserted in the recesses and the members 6, 7 pushed fully into the body 4 to close the recesses. In the case of axially displaceable bosses 11, 16, the recesses 10, 15 are closed after insertion of the weights 18 by axial displacement of the bosses. Each insert may alternatively be provided with a fixed boss and an axially displaceable boss.
