Abstract
1380758 Refrigerating STAL REFRIGERATION AB 8 Dec 1972 [22 Dec 1971] 56685/72 Heading F4H In a compression-condensation refrigeration system, oil and refrigerant pass from the compressor 2 through a line 16 to an oil separator 3 from which the refrigerant flows to a condenser 5 and thence through a line 8 to an oil cooler 7 before return through a line 11 to an intake 10 in the compressor which is located at a point where the pressure substantially corresponds to the pressure of the refrigerant when it leaves the oil cooler. A regulating valve 9 in the line 8 controls flow of refrigerant to the cooler in response to the temperature of the refrigerant either on the outlet side of the cooler or the compressor as sensed by thermostats 17, 17<SP>1</SP>. A constant pressure valve 12 may be located in the line 11. As shown, a pump 13 passes the oil from a container 4 through the cooler to the compressor for lubrication purposes, the oil and refrigerant being maintained in separate paths (Fig. 5). Alternatively the oil and refrigerant are mixed together in the oil cooler to cool the oil, the vapourized refrigerant and oil returning separately to the compressor.
