Abstract
1380600 Making I.C. engine intake manifolds GENERAL MOTORS CORP 28 Sept 1972 [14 Oct 1971] 44783/72 Addition to 1318325 Heading B3A [Also in Division F1] A port 126 is machined in the wall 120 of a cast I.C. engine intake manifold 88 between an induction passage 92, 100 and an exhaust passage 114 by a tool inserted into the induction passage substantially parallel to the wall. A further port 122 is machined in the wall 118 between an induction passage 90, 98 and the passage 114 by a tool inserted through the exterior wall of the passage portion 98. In a further manifold, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), ports (154 and 156) providing communication between an exhaust passage (150) and two induction passages (130 and 132) are machined by tools inserted into the induction passages.
