Abstract

1380533 Clips HEGO ELECTRIC GmbH 24 April 1973 19319/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division H2] A separator clip to prevent flashover between cross connecting bars 5 extending in opposite directions from adjacent rail mounted connector blocks 14 comprises a resilient rectangular insulating channel shaped member 1 having outward projections 3 fitting into grooves 4 formed on one face of each block. The inter-block wall 22 shown cut away carries a shoulder to engage the downward projection of the channel base to increase flashover path. The upward extension of the channel base likewise increases flash-over path and provides a handling tag. Alternative designs include a web across the top of the channel and side walls having unstressed spacing increasing towards the entry edge to ensure retention by elastic forces. Other embodiments make provision for retention of an identification marker strip, either across the top of one channel, or across more than one.
