1380455 Coal briquetting mixture KOPALNIA WEGLA KAMIENNEGO SOSNOWIEC 25 July 1972 [2 Aug 1971] 34677/72 Heading C5G A coal briquetting mixture is prepared by feeding coal dust or slurry and bituminous binder to a kettle 8 containing boiling water, mixing it by means of scrapers 10 and moving it upwardly through the water, which is heated to maintain boiling, by worm elevator 11 on a vertical axle 9 until it has achieved complete water repellancy and discharging the mixture from the kettle 8 into a trough 13. Further scrapers 14 also driven from axle 9 force the mixture through holes in the trough 13 on to a shoot 15 and thence to a briquetting press 18 via conveyer 16.
