Abstract

1380396 Ice-skates MITCHEL & KING SKATES Ltd 26 April 1972 [26 April 1971] 11439/71 Heading A6D An ice-skate of the kind having a tubular reinforcing member 4 extending along the upper edge of the blade 2 and two cupped shaped support members 10 extending upwardly to the heel plate and sole plate of a skate boot is characterised in that the blade has lugs 14 which extend into the tube 4 so as to contact its inner surface. The tube 4 is preferably riveted to the blade as at 5 and the lugs 14 are positioned beneath respective support members 10. The support members 10 can be secured to the tube 4 by spot welds 18 and soft solder 20.
