Abstract

1379604 Trench shoring frames HUDSWELL MORRICE Ltd 18 Dec 1972 [16 Dec 1971] 58553/71 Heading E1E In a trench shoring frame 2, 4, 8 adapted to be moved along the trench by a thrust plate structure, (not shown), the frame is provided with a series of vertically adjustable plates 16, 22 which by means of screw jacks or hydraulic jacks 12 are adapted to be urged into the ground below the level of the trench to facilitate pipe laying. In a modification, see Fig. 2, (not shown), the plates are replaced by a wedge-shaped caisson pivotally mounted on a cross-member 8A and raised or lowered by jacks mounted on a cross-member 6A.
