1379602 Lamp failure indicators CAV Ltd 15 Feb 1972 [5 March 1971] 6205/71 Heading G4N In a lighting circuit (e.g. for a direction indicator lamp 10 of a vehicle) the on-off switch 13 for the lamp 10 is shunted by a resistor 12 having a value such that negligible light is emitted from lamp 10 when switch 13 is open, the voltage across resistor 12 being monitored by a circuit (e.g. comprising two transistors T1, T2 in cascade) arranged to operate an indicator lamp 19 upon failure of lamp 10.
