Abstract

1378828 Gloves P LARS-JOS 9 Nov 1972 [9 Nov 1971] 51760/72 Heading A3V A glove comprises a back of the hand portion formed of finger pieces 17 to 20 and a metacarpus section 3, a thumb section 5 and a palm portion 2, the finger sections 8 to 11 of the palm portion being arranged with their longitudinal axes inclined in the same general direction of inclination relative to the central line C of the metarcarpus section 6. The angle γ‹ between the axis of each finger section and the line C should be in the range 10‹ to 40‹, and preferably 20‹ to 30‹. The finger pieces 17 to, 20 may be cut separately, in pairs or all in one piece. The metacarpus section 3 may be cut integrally with the palm portion. 2. The fingers of the glove may be arranged to receive more than one finger of the hand. The glove may extend up the fore-arm, may be formed with cut-outs or may have a protective coating or lining. It is stated that the glove of the invention conforms more closely to the hand as the latter moves than do conventional gloves.
