Abstract

1378574 Securing timepieces to surfaces HEUER-LEONIDAS SA 16 Feb 1972 [18 Feb 1971] 7078/72 Heading A3H [Also in Division G1] A timepiece is fixed to a supporting surface, which may be a watch strap, a garment, a glove, or the instrument panel of a motor vehicle, by means of two pieces of material, one or both of these carrying a multitude of protruding hooks engageable under pressure with a multitude of loops carried by the other piece of material. The hooks may be formed from nylon strands or may be bodies (10) of synthetic plastics material formed with barbs (11) (Fig. 5C, not shown). The pieces of material may be provided with adhesive backings. One piece 1 is attached to the casing of the timepiece 3; the other piece 4 is attached to the supporting surface (Fig. 4). Additional pieces 4 may be provided for other supporting surfaces, for example to facilitate the interchange of different watch cases on various styles of bracelet.
