1378569 Making reinforcement bar; rolling SQUARE GRIP Ltd 11 May 1973 [23 May 1972] 24250/72 Headings B3M and B3A A steel reinforcement bar is cold rolled from an initial round to a square cross-section between rolls 4 which produce ribs 7, 8 on the bar and reduce its section by at least 6% (preferably 8%). The bar is then twisted helically. The rolling step provides ribs 7 extending at 70 degrees to the bar axis.
