Abstract

1378284 Aprons LONG MELFORD PROLUCTS Ltd 29 March 1973 15184/73 Heading A3V [Also in Division A4] An apron comprises a panel 10 of woven nylon material having a waterproof coating thereon and having a first portion 11 to protect the chest of a wearer and a second portion 12 to protect his trunk and a kneeler 22 of padded material connected to the bottom edge of the portion 12 to extend therefrom in a first posiion in which it is usable as a kneeling mat, the kneeler being provided with female press stud portions 26 engageable with male portions 27 on the panel 10 so that the kneeler 22 may be held in a second position against the panel 10 out of contact with the wearer. Bindings 17 are disposed at arcuate edges of the first portion 11 and provide body ties 18 and a neck loop 19 which is adjustable by the threading of one of the bindings through two rings 21 secured in a loop 20 in the other binding. A semi-circular pocket 13 is provided on the front of the apron and this is divided into two quadrants by stitching 14. The waterproof coating for the panel 10 is preferably of acrylic or polyurethane resin. The kneeler 22 is made of a polyester fibre padding sandwiched between layers of water-proof coated woven nylon material, the layers being quilted together by stitches 24.
