Abstract
1377287 1,3 - Bis - (substituted dithio) - 2- alkylaminopropanes SANDOZ Ltd 1 March 1972 [5 March 1971] 9465/72 Heading C2C The invention comprises insecticidally active compounds of the formula R 1 R 2 NCH(CH 2 SQ) 2 , in which R 1 is C 1-5 alkyl, R 2 is hydrogen or C 1-5 alkyl and Q is -S.CS.OR 3 or -S.CO.R 4 , where R 3 is C 1-8 alkyl or C 5-6 cycloalkyl and R 4 is C 1-5 alkyl; acid addition salts thereof, and their production by reacting R 1 R 2 NCH(CH 2 SY) 2 , where Y is a suitable leaving group, e.g. toluene sulphonyl or benzene sulphonyl, with MQ, where M is an alkali metal. Insecticidal compositions comprise compounds as above with an insecticidal carrier, diluent or adjuvant.
