Abstract

1376884 Clamping devices WILHELM BARENSCHEE 16 Feb 1973 [16 Feb 1972] 7777/73 Heading B6C A clamping device for securing a flexible printing plate on to a curved saddle comprises a tube 4 having a projection 8 along the length thereof adapted to engage a bent-over end of the printing plate 2 and being biased by a torsion spring in a direction to hold the plate on the saddle. The bias is preferably by means of a flat torsion spring 9 secured at one end to the saddle and at the other to the tube 4. The tube 4 is rotatable in a groove formed between the saddle and a bar 6 secured to the saddle by screws 7. A saddle may have one such device at one end only or may have one at each end, in the latter case location pins are used to locate the plate correctly on the saddle.
