Abstract

1376820 Electrodes MITSUBISHI JUKOGO K K 7 April 1972 [9 April 1971] 16266/72 Heading C7B An electrode comprises a lead core 5<SP>1</SP> covered by a silver net 6<SP>1</SP>. The net may be embedded into the surface of the core, welded or clamped to it by noble metal bars 7. The net may form a bag entirely enclosing the core. The lead core may contain a minor percentage of silver. The line diameter of the silver net is 200Á - 250Á and the interval is 400Á - 835Á. The electrode is suitable for the production of chlorine from sea water. Some of the wires of the net may be glass or synthetic fibre.
