Abstract

1,217,825. Electro-hydraulic forming. SIEMENS A.G. 4 March, 1969 [4 March, 1968], No. 11554/69. Heading B3Q. [Also in Division H1] In a wire-initiated electro-hydraulic forming method, the diameter of the initiating wire 5 is substantially 0À02 mm. or less. As shown, the wire passes between electrodes 3 which are screwed into conductors 4 and surrounded by insulators 2. Steel or aluminium tubes 1 are filled with water or other liquid before a capacitor-battery is discharged by means of a sparkgap 7.
