Abstract

1376800 Dolls MATTEL Inc 21 Dec 1972 [3 Jan 1972] 59059/72 Heading A6S [Also in Division E2] A doll's head 24 has a retractable hair piece 60 secured at one end around a hole 52 in the head and passed through a ring 70 connected via a string 72 restrained by a friction gripper 80 to a pull ring 78. The head 24 also carries hair 54 surrounding the retractable hair piece 60. A stand 12 supports a plug 26 on which the friction gripper 80 is mounted, and also carries the head. The friction gripper 80 is so arranged that the string 72 can be pulled more readily in the direction to draw the hairpiece 60 into the head 24 than in the opposite direction, to allow the hair piece to come out of the head.
