Abstract
1376764 Earth moving bowl type scrapers CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 4 Oct 1972 [4 Oct 1971] 45673/72 Heading E1F In a bowl type earth scraper, in which an earth receiving bowl, provided with a main blade 18, has a door 27 retractable on rollers 28 beneath a fixed floor portion 26 to provide an earth dumping opening a spreader blade 32 is pivotally mounted at 34 to the door 27 and has side plates 35 which, when the door is closed, engage beneath blocks 40 secured on the inside of bowl side walls 25; the plates 35 sliding out of engagement with the blocks 40 as the door is retracted, allowing the blade 32 to pivot downwards (shown dotted in Fig. 2) for spreading and levelling dumped earth. The blocks 40 have lower sections 42 which can be replaced when worn, and are of a length to prevent pivoting of the blade 32 until the support structure 19 of the main blade 18 has been cleaned.
