1376390 Stainless steel compositions BOFORS AB 21 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 59218/72 Heading C7A A corrosion resistant steel comprises by weight :- 2.0 to 4.0% silicon 0.5 to 3.0% manganese 23 to 27% chromium 3.5 to 8% nickel 0.5 to 2% molybdenum up to 0.15% carbon up to 0.1% nitrogen 0 to 1% titanium 0 to 2% niobium 0 to 4% tantalum the balance being iron and impurities or minor amounts, of incidental elements. If quenchannealed to provide 10 to 25% by volume anstenite in an otherwise ferritic structure, the resulting steel has improved strength properties.
